Practice Following our rebuild, we were very encouraged to finish P2 in both practice sessions. FP1 was largely a shakedown session to ensure everything on the car had been rebuilt perfectly while also helping new teammate Dennis Lind and I regain valuable track time that we had lost during testing. We continued working hard throughout FP2 to improve the balance and adapt the car to the ever-changing track conditions at Laguna Seca. Qualifying Dennis delivered an incredible lap in Q1 to secure pole position for Race 1, while I followed it up with pole position in Q2 for Race 2. We had excellent pace throughout both sessions, and in Q2 I was actually on an even faster lap before an untimely red flag interrupted the session. Even so, the lap we had already put together was enough to secure another pole position for the #29. Races Race 1 started exactly as we had hoped, with the #29 TR3 Racing Lamborghini leading comfortably after a strong opening stint and flawless pit stop. Unfortunately, while leading in the closing stages, contact from the second-place car caused significant suspension damage. Despite the setback, we fought on to salvage a hard-earned P2 finish. Race 2 showed the same winning pace, building a comfortable lead before a failed fuel line fitting caused a fire and forced us to retire from the race. While the results didn't reflect our speed, we leave Laguna Seca just one point out of the championship lead with plenty of confidence heading into Watkins Glen.
